Amazing.

So over the past couple days, I've had a brilliant time. It really has put the definition of summer into the correct perspective.
On Wednesday, I went to work. I missed the bus, and was very late. I waited for 1.5 hours until I told my manager that I was going to start, or to send me home. He chose the ladder. I had some time to kill before Brent was back from Windsor, so I headed over to Devon's place to say hi so I didn't have to sit by myself in a Tim Horton's for 2 hours. I expected Devon to be there, but didn't expect Josh to be there, so we all hung out for a bit. Josh and I walked over to the convenience store to grab some drinks, and Josh played some guitar until I had to leave around 930pm. I met Brent at the Tim Horton's since Josh didn't want Brent to come to his house, and left. Brent said he just needed to stop and grab something really quick before we went to his house, and we stopped at Pizza Hut and he surprised me with my favorite Pizza Hut dinner :). We headed back to his place and he had set up dinner with wine and candles. It was very cute. We sat down, ate, drank and talked for a while. Brent had the spontaneous idea that we should get a hotel room in Toronto for thursday night, so we booked it. We were planning on heading to Canada's Wonderland early, so we went to sleep. I couldn't sleep so I was up at 630am wide awake. I lay in bed for a couple hours just waiting for the alarm to go off. It was pouring rain when I was awake and continued to do so until 11am. We checked the forecast and it called for thunderstorms all day so we decided to ditch the idea of going to Canada's Wonderland and headed to Toronto for the day instead. We stopped off at Tim Horton's for breakfast and exchanged stories about fluke accidents that we had heard about for the majority of the way there. We got there and it seemed that the weather may not be as bad as forecasted, but we stayed in Toronto anyways (good idea). We parked at the Delta Chelsea and walked up to the Eaton's Centre to do some looking around. Brent and I both bought some clothes, including me buying some wicked new jeans ($150 I got for $50) and a sweet belt too and new leggings with Brent enjoys a lot. Brent bought me some cute nautical earrings which I love. We went to the food court and grabbed some snacks to tie us over till dinner, and we walked back to the hotel to check in. We headed up to our room and settled in. We headed out for dinner since the weather cleared up nicely (to our disappointment that we could've gone to Canada's Wonderland after all) and walked down to Lonestar Grill for dinner. We hung out and drank and ate (a lot) and tried to find somewhere to go for some live music. We ended up walking up to Queen Street to look in some stores and settled in at Everest for a couple drinks on the patio. It started DOWNPOURING rain out of nowhere, so we went inside. I tried Bud Light Lime which was definitely much better than I thought it was going to be. We walked back up to the hotel, and stopped to get some Haggen Daaz ice cream to snack on.
In the morning, we woke up to beautiful weather. Brent couldn't find his shoe for the majority of the time after we arrived in our room on Thursday, but when we left to check out it was mysteriously placed on a table just outside our door. The weird part was the fact that it wasn't there when we got back from Everest the night before. Interesting. We headed to the elevator and for some reason Brent's toothbrush managed to get lodged in the elevator. It was pretty funny and I think I was laughing so hard at the randomness that I peed just a little. We checked out, while throwing out our parking pass, so much for express check-out. We dropped off our stuff at the car and headed back along Queen Street to check out some stores we passed by the night before. Brent got ripped off about Black History, and I got some sweet new sunglasses. We went for Shawarmas (sp?) for lunch and headed to Osgoode Hall to eat in one of my favorite places in Toronto. It was raining but we were sheltered by all the big trees. Brent had to be back in Kitchener for dinner, so we left Toronto around 330pm. It took us 3 hours to get back to Kitchener (crazy) through crazy rain. Brent dropped me off and I spent the night relaxing infront of the tv. I played with the extensions I ordered, and although they do not match my hair perfectly, they look pretty real.

Now I have to head to work, and hopefully I'll get off at a decent time so I can go to Starlight for the 80's music night. Sweet.

Recap.

Soo I haven't written in here for about a week, but I'm going to try to remember all the exciting happenings.
We left off at last Tuesday...
I was scheduled for a split shift at the Huether. I only had one annoying table who claimed 15 minutes was far too long to wait for food. After my shift, I headed over to Tim Horton's to grab some lunch and catch-up on my reading of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It was actually a nice day, so I sat outside for about an hour before Brent came to keep me company for a bit. He got me an iced coffee which I drank and did not totally hate (surprisingly). We chatted for a bit until he had to go to do a conference call at work. I continued to sit outside until I headed back to the Huether for the second part of my shift. I didn't make much money and left fairly early. I actually managed to catch the bus back to my aunt's place and passed out.
Wednesday I managed to find someone to take my shift, so I hung around for the afternoon and read almost the entire HP book before Brent came over for our first "date". I dressed up nicely, and he showed up with a dozen roses and won the heart of my aunt while we talked in the living room. We left so we didn't miss our reservation at Wildcraft, but were almost 15 minutes late anyways. We sat down and we ordered a couple martinis. I rather enjoyed mine, although Brent did not drink his OR eat his food because he was still feeling under the weather. I ate by myself (love it) and we chatted until 8pm (delicious cheesecake dessert), which was when HARRY POTTER started. I was told that it was at 830pm, but it turned out it really was at 8pm. We settled up the bill quickly and bolted to the movie theater. I was worried that I was going to miss some of it, so I went pee and pulled my groin muscle. I know it sounds stupid, but I did it while I was walking over to the hand dryer. Awesome. The movie theater was surprisingly un-busy so we ended up getting better seats than I had expected.
Harry Potter was decent and funny, but it was kind of anti-climatic and didn't really follow the book very well. Brent was talking and joking throughout the entire movie, and I had to explain to him what was going on alot. Once the movie ended, we headed over the Symposium to have a couple late night drinks. We sat there for about an hour just talking about life and I came to see how much overlap there is when it comes down to his and my ideas about life. It was kind of nice.
I didn't really want to go home yet since we were having the ideal date, like ever, so he took me on a drive out to the country to watch the stars. He took me to a golf course and brought a sleeping bag and sweaters out to one of the fairways. It was really neat because in the distance there was a thunderstorm happening, so there was lightning fairly frequently going off. It was a really awesome contrast to the clear blue sky we were looking up at. At a certain time, sprinklers go off on a golf course. Well unfortunately, we picked the WRONG time to be on a golf course because the sprinklers started to go off. Luckily, we were about 3 feet away from where it hit the ground. It would've been quite hilarious if it managed to hit us like in a 90s crappy teen romance movie. We booked it off because we figured we would get hit momentarily and headed back into the city. Brent dropped me off at home, and I headed to sleep. It was definitely an amazing night to remember. Brent is incredibly corny with his jokes and is very sweet and a huge suck up. Lol... read on.
Thursday morning rolled around, and Brent called about hanging out for the afternoon since he was not working. It was discussed the night prior, so it was nice that we ended up hanging out. He asked me what I wanted for lunch and I said we could make something here, or Vencenso's (sp?) if he really wanted to. He showed up with coolers and lunch from Vencenso's. We headed over to the pool and had the pool to ourselves for at least an hour before little munchkins came with their families. Brent took pleasure in throwing me into the (shallow) water with my shorts still on and I boob-flopped on landing. We played in the pool for a bit until all the other people came. We sat by the water for a bit eating chocolate which melted a little too much and then headed back to my aunt's when Brent started getting very burnt and I had to get ready for work. I had a shower and got ready, and had some extra time to chill with Brent before he drove me to work. It ended up being a pretty decent night at work, or at least better than I originally thought, and Brent offered to drive me home rather than me cabbing home.
Friday, I slept in and hung around the house until I had to work at 645pm. Lyle came by in the afternoon to pick up some of his clothes I found, and unfortunately had to talk to him for a couple minutes when he got there. After that I was in an irritated mood, so I had a nap. I headed to work for a stupid reservation which turned into the biggest waste of my life. I stayed for 5.5 hours for one frikking table. I was incredibly frustrated by the time I left, but Brent came to pick me up and drive me home. We hung out for a bit at a Tim Horton's discussing the biggest questions of life, then went to my aunt's until I kicked him out after giving me a massage.
Saturday I woke up late again. Chris was coming down from Oakville around 3pm, so I got ready and started watching The Mask of Zorro. Chris arrived and we tried to figure out what we were going to do. We went upstairs and looked up the people playing at the Jazz Festival, and determined (I determined) that it would be worth checking out. We drove uptown and walked down King St., got some gelato (so good) and gave Chris a tour of King St. including the Huether. We headed back towards where the Jazz Festival was, and determined it was best to follow the old people. It worked out fabulous. The only bad part about this day was spilling gelato all down my yellow shirt. Unfortunately, it was quite noticable and I was thoroughly embarrassed walking down the street with brown shit down my front. I went to the mall thing in uptown Waterloo to find a substitute shirt. We went to the Jazz Festival for about an hour and listened to some good tunes. It kind of started to rain, so we headed out to East Side's for dinner. We wanted to sit on the patio, but they wouldn't open it for us. Oh well. We had some ceasars and dinner, and headed to the LCBO for some beer. We got back to the house and watched Wipeout, The Night at the Roxbury (I forgot how stupid this movie was) and Kill Bill 1. By this point, we were both super tired so we headed to bed. We originally were going to go to a psychic for fun, but it was closed by the time we got back. So crappy.
Sunday morning, Chris had to leave early to get back in time for paintball, so I stayed in bed until 1pm. I figured I wouldn't hear from Josh (kind of happy) and I called Brent to hang out. He came over and he played some piano (veryyyy attractive) and made plans to go Go-karting. We told my aunt that we would be back for dinner, so we headed out to the LCBO so Brent could shower my aunt with gifts including a bottle of wine, and then went to thevery high-scale (not) go-karting place called Erbsville. We waited in line for about... 45 minutes. We tried to pick the fastest karts. It was super fun minus the fact that:
a. I got dust in my eyes the entire way - not cool with contacts
b. I got in trouble for bumping, when it was CLEARLY Brent that was doing it. Jerk.
The roadway was incredibly bad and had a ton of bumps in it the entire way. It didn't help the fact that my helmet kept falling backwards off my head so I was driving with one hand the majority of the time.
After go-karting, we stopped at the grocery store so Brent could pick up a nice flower for my aunt for making him dinner. Suck-up. When we got back, we helped with dinner and enjoyed eating a very yummy meal together. I had Tartufo for the first time in probably 7-8 years. I forgot how good it was. By the time dinner was over, we had to go rondevous with some of Brent's friends at Symposium at 10pm. We ended up being a little late (25 minutes) and stayed around for a drink and left. We made plans for Canada's Wonderland this Thursday (WOOOO!) and headed back to my aunt's to hang out for a bit. We ended up staying up until 330am when I finally kicked him out because we both had to work in the morning.
I woke up extremely tired, and got dropped off at work. I was purposefully late by about 20 minutes because I knew I wasn't going to start right away, and then... 1.5 hours later, I left without working. I took a bus back to my aunt's so I could have some lunch and a nap, then took a bus back to Waterloo to work again at 5pm. It was pretty quiet all night but I ended up getting some very good tips. I handed off my last table to Ilona since I wanted to get out of there, and Brent picked me up and we headed to Tim Horton's so I could get some tea and a doughnut. We then went to the grocery store (open 24 hours) that was closed. Brent was determined that I needed some chocolate at 12am. I was craving some dessert. We then headed back to his apartment where he showed me around and met his brother again who looks nothing like him. We watched some Intervention until 130am, when I decided it was best if I went back earlier than later. Brent drove me home and I passed out pretty quickly.
Today I work in a couple hours, so I better get ready. Especially since I just wrote about myself for at least an hour. Yikes.
It was a really fabulous week, and this week has started off quite good as well. It's so hard to believe it is the 21st of July. It's so messed up that I have been out of school for 3 months already. Crazy. So much stuff has happened.
Here's to a great rest of the summer. CHEERS!
Fingers crossed for Skydiving this summer. Holy shit.

Wonderful Weekend.

Only after working 3 days last week, and making the most money I have ever made in tips, I had the weekend off. Friday night I worked very late, and didn't get back to the house until around 3am. I had to be up before 7am because I had to catch the first bus to Toronto. Standing at the bus stop, it was sunny and beautiful and I had my sunglasses on. I was supremely tired as it was, so I tried to sleep on the bus but the black male beside me was blaring his music at 730am. By the time I got to Toronto, it was overcast and I was pretty pressed for time. I hopped on the subway out to Islington to meet my aunt. When I got off of the subway, it was torrential down pouring thunderstorms. My aunt and I headed up north, and it slowly got nicer and nicer weather. By the time we got to their cottage, it was sunny and clear blue skies and stayed that way all weekend.
I hung out with the family all Saturday. We went tubing (bad idea) with my uncle driving. My cousins call it "death tubing" because you attach 2 tubes to the back of the boat and hit into each other. I got kicked off, literally 3 times, choking on lake water every single time. By the time we got back, it was almost dinner. Only running on 3 hours of sleep and getting beaten for a couple hours really made me exhausted, so I passed out for almost 2 hours until dinner was ready. After dinner, everyone was pretty tired so we got into pajamas and played Trivial Pursuit for a while until we all went to bed.
On Sunday, I woke up pretty late and walked over to the neighbours for breakfast with the 2 most annoying 15 year olds I've ever met. As soon as breakfast was over, I left to come back to the cottage. I helped my aunt and uncle put up a hammock and curled up in it for a couple hours reading Harry Potter. Not really reading Harry Potter, because I fell asleep within 3 pages. I went to tan on the dock, and unfortunately I'm a good cousin so I had to go tubing with Lyora because I promised her I would. I pretty much thought I was going to die. Like the day before, it was windy and really choppy waves and was flung off the tube ANOTHER 3 times until I was pretty sure my leg was completely bruised. It ended up being a 6 inch bruise on the back of my leg. Nice. I was pretty broken by the time we got back, so we had a quick dinner and my uncle and I headed back to Mississauga. Traffic was pretty terrible so we didn't get back until around 11pm. I called Chris and he met up with me at my uncle's place. He was up north as well, so we shared stories and played some pool for a bit. He had to work at 730am and I had to be up at 7am so we called it an early night.
Monday I woke up, had a shower for the first time in 3 days. Ew, I know. It felt so nice. Got ready and my uncle drove me to Square One to catch the bus to Guelph. I got there just after 9am, so I went to the library to check my email then hopped on the bus downtown to meet one of my favorite people ever. LYDIA! She looked so pretty and fashionable from her France adventure. I picked up my ticket, and we went to catch the bus to the house. We got back, made food for the few items I still had in the fridge. We went for a walk down to DQ to pick up some ice cream, got cold from it being so windy, so we went to the mall for a bit and I bought a couple things for cheap cheap cheap. Walked back to the house and watched Little Miss Sunshine until we had to make dinner early. Made a pretty decent meal considering we didn't buy any groceries (steak, broccoli, fries) and took the bus back downtown to catch our buses. We saw this disgusting woman coming off the bus - she was NOT wearing underwear underneath her pants which were falling down and showing all of her... bush and area. Really really gross. It actually made me slightly nauseous.
Took the bus back, my aunt picked me up and I went home. Fell asleep for a couple hours, then talked to Brent on the phone for a couple more. Had to get up early because I was working yesterday morning.

My hands are tired so I'm not going to write anymore.
Brent is taking me to Wildcraft and HARRY POTTER TONIGHT!!! OMG I"M SO EXCITED I DON"T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF WOOOOOOOOOO

Far, Far Away.

I am really disliking the fact that Kitchener/Waterloo is so frikking far away. I thought Guelph was annoying and bubbled - but now I see how Kitchener/Waterloo is actually worse. Gasp. It's that much harder to get to places, especially without a car or someone to drive me there.
For instance, I have the weekend off. I would like to go up north, but the timing to get there is completely off. It's seriously lame. I may still try to swing it and just not sleep friday night. It's quite the pickle. I need to get out of this area ASAP.
I just noticed that I say supremely quite often now. That came out of nowhere.
Anyways, the week thus far has been alright. I had monday and tuesday off, so I had ribs for dinner on monday, and headed to Josh's for a hang out. He got some wine and we watched the movie Sideways, which turned out to be much better than I had thought it would be. I stayed there overnight, couldn't sleep so I woke up early to watch the Bachelor. When the news came on at 12, I was incredibly dissapointed in the world today for filling the ENTIRE news hour with footage of Michael Jackson's funeral. Who the F*** cares!?... Anyways Josh finally woke up around 12, so we got dressed and headed to Mel's Diner for some early afternoon breakfast. It really wasn't as good as I was hoping, since I was craving some serious french toast. Once we left, we headed back to his place and watched some of the movie Roger & Me by Michael Moore. I was tired, so he drove me home and I crashed for a little bit before dinner. My aunt made Indian food for dinner and I stayed in and watched the movie Miss Pettigrew Lives For a Day with my aunt. Started reading the book Josh lent me called Snuff. Still reading it, but pretty interesting thus far. The book is about a pornstar trying to make a record of sleeping with 600 men consecutively.
Yesterday, I woke up at a decent time, watched the news and hung out by the pool for a little while. There was an incredibly model-esque man tanning, so it was difficult to fall asleep (to say the least). I headed back to the house to get ready for work. I showed up at work, and it was very busy. I had some VERYYY generous tables last night (worked 9 hours) and walked out with the second most money I've ever made in one night. I was quite pleased with that. I had this AMAZING save last night - I had 2 pints of beer and 2 glasses of water on a tray, which I actually kind of dropped... but somehow, I'm not sure, I caught it on the counter and didn't spill anything. I can't really describe it well, but all I can say is that it was pretty frikking amazing on my part. Another thing about last night which was cool, was the fact that they had live music all night, so it was nice to have some background music while working. Finally, the only other part about the night worth mentioning is I had my first error since I started working at the Huether. I forgot to ring in someone's food, but I realized after that they didn't actually tell me, they just thought they told me. No big deal, they were rude.
Josh messaged me saying he went to sleep early, so I hailed a taxi and headed back to my aunt's to crash.

I'm kind of tired now and I have to leave in an hour for work, so I'll just say a couple other minor useless things...

1. I want to go to Wonderland soon. Josh told me he's never been on a upside down roller coaster. Weird.

2. HARRY POTTER IN 6 DAYS!! OMG OMG OMG! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO

That is all.

Mindsweeper.

My eyes are watering from a lack of blinking.
I just played 69 games of Mindsweeper. I used to play obsessively in first year and got really good at it, so now I guess I'm getting back into the cool groove of Mindsweeper.

I need to get out of Kitchener.

Tuesday, July 7, 2009

Oh dilemma.

Kathie sent me a message today saying this:

Michel is leaving for August after all and here I am looking for yet another roommate! Offer stands babe.

After all the shinanigans over the past month, life decides to throw me another curveball to make my life more complicated. As much as this idea really sounds amazing, I don't think I can make sense of it. Damn, it would be amazing - but I think I need to stick out the remainder of the summer here and make some money. I do have a month to figure it out, however... ah, too complicated.

On another note, what the hell is with this weather? Where is summer??? It is July isn't it? My tan is definitely fading, and I would like to sit by the pool more, and get some color when I'm not working. It feels too much like spring, with the dreary clouds and moderate temperatures.

Anyways, back to work tomorrow. It's been nice to have a couple days off.

Gah, nightmare.

So I woke up "this morning" (12:30pm) because I had a nightmare about my sister. The premise of the nightmare was that I had to get to work and she wouldn't call my aunt to drop me off. I know, so scary. I'm not sure why it disturbed me so much, but I can guess. My sister and I rarely ever argue, so it would make sense that having a yelling match with her would upset me.
I had another dream about her a few days ago which was the exact opposite. She and I didn't have any clothes, so we decided the best way to cover ourselves up were to make superhero costumes out of TAPE. That's right, white tape. So we had the eyepatches and the capes made out of this solid white tape. What an incredibly random dream. Hope you enjoy that one :p
Other than the weird sleeping patterns I have fallen into because of work, things have been quite good over the weekend. Friday I actually did laundry and went for a long-ass bike ride (uphill) to grab some stuff at Shopper's. I could feel the burn up the back of my legs and into my ass. Hopefully the hard work pays off. I had to work friday night and it was supremely quiet. I only had a total of 8-9 tables all night, but they all tipped very nicely. I ended up walking out with $140 in my pocket. I had this really entertaining group of guys on the patio. They had 4 rounds of Jagerbombs and they were quite wasted/incredibly hyper by the time they left. They each had 2 redbulls in a matter of... 2 hours. They told me about the time they had an "altercation" with my manager and ended up going to her house and egging her house. I found this quite funny until they told me they got caught and had to pay to get the house cleaned. Somehow, 5 years later, they still go to the Huether for drinks with no problems.
On saturday, I had the day off but was really tired from getting home so late the night before. I slept the majority of the afternoon away and then biked again to LCBo to grab some alcohol for the evening. I booked it down by bus to Waterloo to meet up with Josh, who I hadn't seen in almost a week. We had a couple drinks at his house and went to the Fox to meet up with his sister and friends. We hung out there for a while, but didn't really stay long. It was kind of weird, because a week ago I wrote about this group of Oakville guys that tipped me really well.. and I ran into them again at the Fox and it was just awkward. I LOVE awkward.
Sunday we woke up late from being very hungover (on my part). Josh had to work at 12, so I hung around his house for a bit until I had to go to work at 130pm. Stopped off at Tim Horton's for some lunch and went to work. It was pretty quiet for the majority of the day but someone tipped me $50 so I still made some good money. I can't wait for my first paycheck on friday. So pumped to have some money. Speaking of money, I am now going to the mall because I feel like spending some money that I have worked hard to earn. I am limiting myself to $50 just to get something nice.
I have alot of time off this week, so I am thinking of heading back to Oakville for the weekend. I want to see Chris again, so hopefully his plans to go upnorth fall thru.
Anyways, I'm done for the time being, and I will probably write more later when I have something interesting to say.

Toes, Knees.

My knees are bruised.

And unfortunately, I am missing you. Damn it.

All you need is love.

I wanted to write about this yesterday on the bus when I thought of it.
It dawned on me how bad of luck I've had with "love". I am still sure I don't know what it is. I think I am so set on finding out what it is, that I have based so much of my life around relationships. Like the title of my blog -
life is love. love is life.
I obviously am basing my entire life around "love", like it is all I need. I guess I am hoping that it is all I am going to need to be happy, and when I have it, I will know. I honestly wish I didn't feel this way, but at the same time, I'm glad I am so hopeful that things will work out. No matter how many bad things occur, I am still looking for the good things that make it worthwhile and make it last.

- Moulin Rouge says it best -
All you need is...
Beauty. Freedom. Truth. Love.

Tolouse:
Don't you believe in beauty?

Christian:
Yes.

Argentine:
Freedom?

Christian:
Yes, of course.

Satie:
Truth?

Christian:
Yes.

Doctor:
Love?

Christian:
Love? Love... Above all things I believe in love!
Love is like oxygen. Love is a many-splendored thing,
love lifts us up where we belong, all you need is love!

Time.

Holy crap. It's already July. That is just so ridiculous, "time flies".
People always say that time flies when you are having fun, but really, time goes quickly all the time. Period. It would make sense though, and maybe I'm trying to think outside the box (when I am really not), but time is a set measure. There is no speed ups, or slow downs, it's just all in individual perspective.
It has been 2 1/2 months since I walked out of my last exam when it was incredibly windy and I sliced my hand on my binder (still have the scar). When I take this time and put it into perspective, I have 2 1/2 months until I start my last year in Guelph. I am right on the brink of being doing half of my summer. Where did the time go? Every year I think, this summer is going to be amazing, I'm going to do so many amazing thingsssssss, and then it's gone before I know it. Damn. Then I think about how much I hate winter - with a burning passion in my soul. Soon it's going to be fall, school starts, then winter will arrive with full force and I will be looking forward to the coming summer starting in... November.
Very vicious cicle.
Alas. I have the remainder of this summer to make it exactly what I want it to be. So far I really don't think I'm doing too bad of a job, considering I am incredibly happy on all fronts (minus my dad which is a lost cause).
Since I last wrote, I have hardly worked. I had sunday off, and I only worked for a few hours on monday because it was such a rainy day. I made 20 dollars and did mindless activities at work to pass the time. Went over to Josh's briefly to say hi, but headed back to my aunt's to get an early start on tuesday. Woke up fabulously early on tuesday so I could get my way down to my dad's for a visit. My aunt drove me to Aberfoyle to grab the bus, and of course my ipod died when I put it on. That reminds me that I need to charge it. Hopped on a bus to Square One, then to Port Credit. I got there before my dad was back, so I sat on the steps of his new place that is less than a block from the waterfront *love it*. It was around lunch time, so we walked along the water to Snug Harbour Restaurant, sat on the kind-of inside patio while it downpoured. I had clam chowder and mussels for lunch, which were great. We sat around and chatted until we headed back along lakeshore. Since their place is still a mess from moving, I passed out for a bit until my cousin called me. Chris has bronchitis but also lives in Port Credit so I wanted to see her for a bit. She picked me up and we headed to her place for some tea and chatter. I didn't stay long since I wanted to be back for dinner. I had some vino with my dad and told him he should put pictures of my sister and I up on the walls to show people that we actually exist. We had ribs and salad, and we were just finishing when Jessika showed up. She came to talk with us for a bit, until we walked down to Timothy's for a hot beverage. We talked for a little while and 2 older men were talking to me in the 2 hours we were there. One of them thought I was turned 16 last week, thanks. I had plans to meet another Chris at The Kings Arms for a drink at 1015. Jessika, even with a GPS got completely lost in Oakville, where she grew up. I knew where I was going, but neither she or the GPS knew anything about directions. I ended up being late and met Chris outside in the parking lot. Since my first attempt with eharmony was a blow, I figured I might as well give it another chance. Chris is cute, tall, adventurous and has a great laugh (Jessika approved guy). I was only planning on hanging out with him for one drink, but it turned into a 3 hour adventure that brought us down to the water. We talked about our interesting adventures down in Costa Rica. When he asked me a month ago if Beach Travellers was a good company to go with, I said yes. He didn't know anything about the trip, but booked it based on my heresay! I was glad I didn't disappoint him.
He drove me back to my place, where he gave me a small kiss and waited until I was inside till he drove away. I woke up in the morning to him sending me a few texts at 2am about Go Transit bus times. I told him I didn't know what they were and wasn't sure how I was getting back to Kitchener, but he went out of his way to check it for me without me asking him to. That was pretty unexpected and won him some serious brownie points. My dad was heading up north for a couple weeks, so I had to get out early. Him and I got into an argument that got me so irritated I walked out without saying goodbye. I went to Timothy's fairly upset and got some tea and a muffin. I had some serious time to kill before I had to get to Toronto, then back to Kitchener for work at 330 on Canada Day, so I brought my food to the water and hung out for 1 1/2 hours until I had to leave. It was absolutely perfect. It is amazing how at ease water makes me feel about life. It's so peaceful and relaxing to me.
I walked up to the GO and went to Toronto. I didn't buy a ticket, and I saw 4 cops walk past me. They didn't check tickets, but when I got up at Union, all of them were in the same compartment as I was. That would've been like 150 dollar ticket. I rushed to the subway (thank god I knew where I was going) and booked it to the bus terminal. I ran the entire way and my bag was open the whole way. Thank god my computer didn't fall out because honestly, I probably wouldn't have noticed. The bus to Kitchener was running slightly late, so I got there on time but incredibly out of breath. It's good because I have lost all the weight I gained since the beginning of summer so I can run now without thinking I'm going to cough up a lung or something. The bus arrived in Kitchener an hour early (!!), not sure how that happened, but I had some serious time to kill before my shift. I walked over to Josh's. even though him nor Devon was there and chilled in their sunroom with some Tim Horton's. I fell asleep briefly but woke up knowing that I had to get to work. I got there and it was totally dead and POURING rain. Great. I was asked if I wanted to stay or go, and I decided I left Mississauga to work, so I might as well. I'm glad I did, holy cowza. In 6 hours, I made 120 dollars with time and a half. I calculated it, and I was making 33 dollars/hour last night. Although I spilt chocolate milk ALL OVER ME and sour cream too, I had a good night with 2 different tables commenting how amazing I was at serving. I chuckled to myself because I was fucking busy and thinking I was serving incredibly bad, but apparently not. That happened on Saturday too, when a bunch of Oakville guys came in. They seemed to be impressed that I lived in Oakville for like 2 years and thought I was amazing, and one of them gave me his number and a 10 dollar tip on a pitcher. Way to buy your way into my life. Anyways, I talked to this guy Josh from work until my aunt came to pick me up, and we drove to Tim Horton's to grab some tea while we waited for Colin to get back from the fireworks (which were apparently very bad). This was the first time in years that I didn't get to see the fireworks. I was kind of disappointed about it, but I made some good money last night. Came back, crashed, and had a really good sleep. Now I am sitting here on my day off thinking what I should do. It's kind of crappy outside, so I may try to organize my stuff downstairs since I STILL haven't gotten around to it yet. I have saturday off to, as of right now, so I may actually get to go out for the first time since last week.
I have been writing for an hour, and my hands are tired, so I'm going to go relax for a bit before I do anything productive. More like, IF I do anything productive.

It's quite interesting. When I "thought" I was having an amazing summer with Lyle, I never wrote about it at all. But now that I'm actually having an amazing summer, I want to remember everything I do. I guess I knew deep down it wasn't what I wanted, or needed either.
