UpNorth.

Wow, so I am finally going up to my cabin for the first time in 14 months. I never go up there anymore which is a very sad thing. I have been there for 3 days total in the last 2 years. Scary.
I am going up for a week and a half so hopefully it is nice weather.
It is going to be weird not seeing Brent for this entire time, I haven't had a day without him in.. geez, like... since we started dating? :)

Off to shower then hitting the road.
Fingers crossed for California in 2 weeks... We may already be there this time in 2 weeks, woooo!

End of Summer.

The past week has been quite nice. I have had a lot of time to myself, to relax and enjoy the end of my summer. Last week I was actually scheduled for 4 shifts, unfortunately I didn't work 2 of them. Monday I told them I was not feeling well (which was true) and I sat around for the night and watched tv until Brent came over.
Tuesday I had off and did not do anything during the day. Brent and I wanted to watch the meteor shower, so we stopped at Tim Horton's, got a tea and a chocolate chunk cookie (our thing) and headed to the stars. Unfortunately, a somewhat bitchy cop pulled us over because Brent had a light burnt out. Brent hadn't got much sleep lately, so the cop thought he was drunk, stoned or on some prescription drugs. She made him get out of the car, walk a straight line and touch his finger to his nose. Once a half hour at least was up, she let us go with a warning. We drove down to Langdon Hotel and Spa to watch the stars, but the walkway we were going to take was incredibly dark and scary without a flashlight. We skipped out of the star gazing and headed back to my aunts.
Wednesday I was supposed to work, went in, and sat around for almost 2 hours until he sent me home. Brent told me to hang out at his apartment until he was back from dinner... almost 3 hours later he came back. In the meantime, I had gone for a walk trying to find something to eat without success, so I was bitchy and hungry by the time he came home. We got into a little argument over me eating, so he took me to Symposium. I decided after we sat down that I wanted a pita, so we went to Pita Pit, then back to Symposium for dessert. I was craving Carrot Cake after I had dreamed about it last week, and it was incredibly decedent. It was six layers of icing and cake.
Thursday we planned on going to Grand Bend, we got into another argument in the morning which was not very good. I went out for lunch with Nev after giving her the wrong address at Crabby Joe's and went to the mall to get my jeans hemmed. I bussed back to the house and got ready for our mini trip. Brent was at least an hour late picking me up, so I sat with my aunt and talked to her before he came to pick me up. We were both in a little irritated moods, so the ride there was rocky at first. Once we got closer, we both loosened up and enjoyed ourselves. We got to his family's place and had a drink looking out onto the water. We went out for dinner with his aunt at a place right by the beach, waited an hour for our food and watched the sunset together. We went back to the house, had a drink, went down to the beach to watch the stars for a bit. Brent and I took advantage of the view and called it an early night.
Friday morning we woke up to loud noises from his uncle cutting the bushes at 830am. We got up, had some breakfast and headed into Grand Bend to pick up the boat. We went down the river, looking at all the cool boats and headed out into the clear turquoise water. I played in the the water for a bit like a little girl, and Brent brought me down a beer while I passed out on the sand. It was a perfect day. We had some hamburgers for lunch then went out to the boat for some tubing. I only fell off once which was good, but going with Brent was a death wish. He flew up a few feet and then landed on my hip on the way down (still bruised). After that we had another last drink by the water and headed into Grand Bend to look around. Brent was told to have this burrito from JALEPENOS called the Afterburner. It was, unfortunately, the hottest thing he had ever had, and couldn't taste anything for a bit. We went and got smoothies and went and checked out some of the stores. A half hour after he had had the burrito, I kissed him, and my lips started to tingle. It was getting late, so we hopped in the car, got some Tim Horton's on the way, and went back to the city. It smelt like cow poo the entire way, ew. Once we got back, we were going to meet his friends for dinner, and so we headed to Turtle Jack's. Dinner was okay, and we went to Kiel and Jess' place for a drink and to relax. We stayed there for a bit, and walked back to Brent's apartment.

My hands are getting tired... this is the first time I've used the internet on my computer in months. I am definitely enjoying having my Mac back :) I missed you pretty Macbook.

Longest Post Ever.

What a blur. I have not written in here in 2 weeks. Where did the time go?
Two weeks ago, I can sum up in one word:
Work!
The only night that I actually did something was the night we had dinner at my aunt's and had the crazy mission of finding a William's open after midnight. We ended up going all the way to Waterloo and had a couple drinks and bumbleberry pie. This night included Nickles, Pickles, Dimes and new a new boyfriend. Probably should know the date of this. Aw well. I think it was Tuesday? July 28th.
Last saturday was a pretty great day. Brent was sleeping in, and I knew how wonderful of a day it was, so I got up and walked down to The Huether to grab my sunglasses I left there. They didn't seem to be there, so I went and bought a new pair at DLR. I told Brent to get his ass out of bed and meet me at Starbucks for a drink. We had a couple drinks outside until we headed to The CedarBarn( I think) to meet Kiel and Jess for breakfast. We sat and talked, then Brent and I headed over to St. Jacob's Market. We spent a couple hours there, had some lunch. It was a pretty neat place. Brent had to work for a bit in the afternoon, so we stopped by the mall so I could get a bathing suit for the pool. Brent bought me a rather skimpy bathing suit (which I actually like alot) and sat by his pool for the remainder of the afternoon eating blueberries.
I somehow got out of working at night, so I ended up hanging out with Brent and his friends. It was quite the epic night. We stopped by the LCBO to grab some booze and was disappointed that they were out of the raspberry beer I was told to try by someone at work. We went back to Brent's, had a shower and his friends showed up. The girls hung out inside while the guys smoked a cigar on the balcony. Once everyone was fired up, we walked down Uptown Waterloo to McMullan's Bar. We ordered some food and drank some drinks. Brent put the silly idea into my head of Marble Slab. I had never been there before, so we started to walk up to the ice cream place. It was slightly awkward when we walked by Josh on the way. Oops. We ventured up and had a really yummy ice cream, and since it was such a nice night, we walked back down to Starlight. It seemed that we took the longest way possible so my feet were hurting by the time we got there. We went up, had a couple shots, danced to... two songs and left. Apparently dancing is a sensitive subject for Brent. After that, we sat in the Waterloo Square and walked up to a warehouse that is under construction, trespassed and watched the cars go by from the windows.
Sunday afternoon we slept in and I decided it was a great idea to go for A&W. Needless to say, it was not a good idea at all and we both felt rather sick afterwards. Brent dropped me off at my aunt's, then I had to bus back to work in the evening. I got there 30 minutes early, so Brent came and picked me up on his way back from the gym. We went to the grocery store to pick me up some blueberries for the antioxidants (since I still felt like crap). I ate the entire pint of them, and now have an obsession with blueberries. Went to work that night, and Brent came and dropped me off at home.
Monday (MONTREAL!!) I woke up after a terrible sleep because I was so excited for our trip. I packed and got ready since Brent told me he was going to be at my house around 1230. I had a nice chat with my aunt during this time. At almost 2 Brent finally arrived. We had to dash back to his house because he forgot something (he was stressed out a little) and we stopped by the grocery store for a few snacks for the road. We drove down to Mississauga to see some of his family. I was incredibly nervous but it didn't turn out so badly. We stayed for about 30 minutes and then got back on the road. We stopped by the hospital really quickly to see my grandmother, then we were on the highway heading towards Montreal! I burned a couple CD's but only kind of worked the entire way. We stopped in Kingston at a Subway for dinner. We ate outside and walked over the DQ for some ice cream. This moment will go down into history as the DQ INCIDENT. I have never seen Brent laugh that hard, and I was thoroughly embarrassed. This is what happened - The person (terribly hideous) gave me the blizzard, right. But I noticed she didn't put it upside down to make sure it was good, you know? So I was like, why don't I do it then to check? Well, needless to say, it was double cupped and a ton of the ice cream started to fall towards the ground. And for some reason, I thought it would be a good idea to catch it with my hands and my white sweater. Brent just thought this was the funniest thing ever and he laughed for about 5 years. Great. We stopped at a Husky Gas Station, then were back on the road to Montreal. We didn't get there until about 12am, and embarrassing situation #2 happened. I wrote down the wrong hotel, looked up the wrong directions and tried to check in at the wrong hotel. Woo me. Luckily, it was just down the street, but I was having a very awesome day as you can see. We finally got to our hotel and it was perfect! D'hotel de la Montagne. It had someone playing the piano downstairs with fairies and elephants. We checked in, brought our stuff to our room and fell in love with it. A nice king sized bed with a balcony and a really nice bathroom. We settled in and headed out to go for a drink. We found out we were situated in the heart of the party district, and we stationed ourselves at a Cigar Lounge called Stogies. We had a drink there overlooking the streets. One of the major things I loved about the city was the patios everywhere. It was amazing. After our drink we familiarized ourselves with the area and walked around. Brent got some pizza which he managed to drop all over the street instead of in his mouth.
On Tuesday, we woke up kind of early and went out for breakfast at Eggspectation. the guy serving us was a little whack, but otherwise the food was yummy (Eggs Benny). We got back to the hotel and were trying to plan what we were going to do for the day, and we both passed out cold for 2 hours. Lol. Our bed was so frikkin nice it was hard to leave the room. We decided to head upstairs to check out the restaurant on the roof of our hotel, and when we got up there, we were just blown away. It was sooo neat! There was a huge pool and bar on the 20th floor of our hotel. It was so cool. We kind of ditched the rest of our plans for the day, got changed into our bathing suits and sat by the pool reading for a little bit. It was great, it was a perfect day too weather-wise. We were truly lucky. After that, we went to find the perfect place for dinner. We didn't have to go far. There was a restaurant called NewTown that had this little terrace with one table on the 2nd floor overlooking the bar district. We went to see if that single table was available, and was thrilled to find out that it wasn't and it was ours for the night. We made our reservation for 8, and walked down St. Catherine's and looked at a couple stores and Brent almost got assaulted by a very aggressive homeless person. Didn't really find anything, and Brent was in a weird mood so we went back to the hotel. Brent sat outside, drank some beer and smoked a cigar while I sat inside reading. I tried and successful cheered him up, and we headed to our reservation. We sat outside on our little private balcony for a total of maybe 10 minutes until it started to pour :(. We moved inside and had a very nice meal drinking wine. Oh the wine... We had a bottle in one of those ice buckets. I tried to move the ice bucket, something broke and the metal bottom hit the floor and BROKE a light. This was probably the most embarrassing part of the trip, and this time, Brent didn't laugh and laugh. I was so thoroughly embarrassed at myself. I fucking broke a LIGHT. Anyways, we finished our meal, had some intense conversation about life, and headed over to the Crepe place. We had a yummy crepe and ate it really fast, then went back to the hotel to change into something more casual for the bar. The one we wanted to go to was packed, so we stopped by one, had a drink, then went to another one and had another. By this time, I was quite intoxicated, and decided to go to McDonald's for some food. I hadn't had McDonald's in a long, long time and scarfed it down. I think I totally turned Brent right off by my eating lol. By this time it was 215, so we headed back to our hotel and crashed.
Wednesday was sad because we had to check out of our fabulous hotel. We did that, then went to grab the imfamous smoked meat sandwiches. We ordered them and were waiting, and this (stupid) server came and "accidently" dropped one of the massive menus. Unfortunately for my petite foot, it got the brunt of it and bust my foot open. I didn't want to make the server feel bad but FUCK it hurt alot. Brent was calling me a baby for complaining but it was all bruised and cut from the corner of the heavy menu. Damn menu. If you have been counting, Montreal trip - 4, Katy - 0. After that, we walked up towards the mountain. It took about 45 minutes to walk up but it was worth it. At the top, there was an amazing view of the city. We had our incredibly high calorie lunch and got some popcicles. It was another beautiful day. We spent some time looking out, and walked back because we needed to get back to Toronto. On the way down the hill, a woman made a very sexual comment about her lack of interest in her husband and we sat on the grass by the lake for a few minutes. We went back to the car, stopping to grab a refreshment on the way and drove down to a district I was told was good for shopping. I was not very impressed with the selection and didn't end up buying anything :(. Once we managed to find our way out of the city, we stopped at 3 places to find some snacks. We had some terrible luck with grocery stores apparently. We had our sandwiches and made the mission back to Toronto. Part way there, we stopped at a gas station for some coffee/tea. I went to the washroom and was disgusted to find vomit spilled all over the sink. Yum. We got back on the road again and finally made it to Toronto around 11-12. We had a hard time finding our hotel, but once we found it, we checked into the Radisson by the airport. It turned out to be a pretty nice room considering it wasn't a super nice place. We got a suite with a sitting room and seperate bedroom. We had another king sized bed which was nice too. We dropped off our stuff, and drove down to Arizona's bar for a late night dinner. Got some calamari and burritos. Brent was drinking, and I told him to keep drinking so I could drive. Muahaha, it worked. I really need to get my licence. Drove back to the hotel, and crashed.
Woke up Thursday morning, to our dismay, a gorgeous day. We were planning on going to Canada's Wonderland. We stopped at Tim Horton's and ordered the longest order ever (to other people's irritation, I'm sure) and headed to Canada's Wonderland. Got lost on the way because of road closures but ended up finally getting on the 400 and getting to Canada's Wonderland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...... it was too frikking busy so we didn't even go. Lame. Rainy days are the best days. Otherwise it was like fully packed. We decided on what to do, and we drove down to Port Credit. We parked at my dad's and walked down by the water into the harbour. We went to Snug Harbour for a couple drinks and lunch. We had some mussels and ceasar salad. We drove down Lakeshore, and nearly ran out of gas. We stopped at a gas station and got lost again trying to find our way to the 401. We did a hugeee circle through Milton and finally got on the 401 to Guelph. We stopped by the LCBO for an alcoholic beverage, and went to my house. We hung out, had a couple drinks, had some more intense conversations, then headed to Moxie's for a late dinner. We didn't get there until about 11, sat in the lounge and had a very good server. We had a couple drinks and a very yummy dinner. My lychee martinis tended to get more alcoholic so I was quite tipsy by the time we left. We stopped by Staples and stole their wireless for a few minutes, hopped a fence and walked back to my house. We made a joke about PCB and PCC, which neither of us can remember.
Friday, Brent had to meet someone, so I went back to sleep for a bit. When I woke up, I walked down to get a haircut. I was actually pretty happy with how it looks too, stopped by Subway and had some food then went to the mall. I went to Guess and got a couple things which I really like. I walked back to my house and Brent was lost and was lucky to run into me. I went back to my house and fell asleep again in my lovely bed until Brent came back with an Oreo McFlurry. We packed up all our stuff and headed back to Kitchener. Brent dropped me off at my aunt's and I got moved in. Hung around for a couple hours and then bussed back down to Waterloo. Totally wrecked the plan of "embarrass katy when she is walking" and hung out drinking and eating pizza until everyone else left.

So my hands are tired since I have been writing for almost 2 hours.
That is all, sorry for the spelling mistakes, I'm just too lazy to read this over.

All I want to say is, I had an amazing time in Montreal. I really couldn't be happier.
